TAGUS NOVO® lists and compares for you the best offers of new properties for sale from the biggest developers in the Portuguese property market. Concretely, we compare different relevant criteria that will allow you to choose and buy your ideal property, whatever your goal is for investment or for living.

3. What do you mean by major real estate promoters?

These are major trusted developers who either build and generate a significant volume of available lots in the Portuguese new build stock, or smaller developers who regularly build quality properties on time. They are selected for their professionalism, reliability, track record, quality of construction, financial strength and ability to meet deadlines. 4. Is the information you provide unbiased?

We are 100% independent and are not affiliated with any real estate developer or builder. We have no obligation to any of them, although we do maintain a partnership with the developers, so that we can present you with all the information you need about their developments and properties. All the offers presented on our TAGUS NOVO® comparison site are unbiased, and are only the result of the filters applied for each search. No commercial arguments, just total transparency. And we only work with the best developers in the market to give you the best deals and the confidence to make the right decisions and buy your perfect property in Portugal.

5. Are you a real estate builder?

No, TAGUS NOVO® does not build houses or flats. We leave the construction of properties to the experts while we focus on developing the TAGUS NOVO® website. We want to help you compare new developments in Portugal, so that you can easily find the new flat or house in just a few clicks!

We understand that the process of finding your new house or flat in Portugal can be very challenging, so we are here to help you and make it simple. We are the first new housing comparison website in Portugal, which you can access to find out the offers available from several major developers. Based on your own search criteria, you can filter results to find the new house or flat that meets your needs, and compare your favourite properties side by side with just one click to choose the perfect one. If you find properties you like, we will give you all the additional information about each selected property, we arrange viewings and you can also place an option to buy.

6. Do you offer already built new properties for sale?

Yes, on TAGUS NOVO® you can filter the offers and display only properties that are already built. You can filter by availability or construction status to list only properties already built or under construction according to the period you have chosen.

7. Do you have plots of land for sale?

Yes, TAGUS NOVO® sometimes offers building plots with or without a project, within the new property developments listed on the site.

8. Which regions are covered by your new homes comparison service in Portugal?

If you are looking to buy a new property in Portugal, we can help you now. If you are looking to buy on the islands of Madeira or the Azores, you will have to wait a little longer until we can integrate these new territories. We hope to have almost full coverage by the end of 2022.

10. What is the difference between a real estate developer and a builder?

For most people, dealing with a real estate developer or a builder when planning to buy a new property is identical. This is common sense, as the purpose is the same and both are in the property business. And if you have never noticed these few differences, we will explain them to you here.

The real estate developer: Ready to use !

The property developer works on the sale of a new house on a serviced plot of land or a new flat that has already been built. He focuses on a specific property development, ensures its completion and finally starts looking for potential buyers to sell the properties. Buying a property via a real estate developer is a turnkey operation: you buy both the house and the land or the built-up unit.

The real estate builder: a more limited turnkey solution

As the name suggests, a real estate builder provides construction services and manages and carries out the work on the building. Therefore, if you are planning to build your own house, or to create a customised plan on your own land, the builder is the most suitable. Unlike the real estate developer, you will have to acquire the land before any work can be done and carry out all the administrative procedures and pay all the other costs, such as those for the preparation of the land, the architect and the various taxes…

The legal assistance is completely free of charge for you as a buyer in this case and takes care of the verification and compliance of documents and contracts by our lawyers:

• reservation contracts to put an option on a property
• purchase contracts / Portuguese CPCV
• administrative documents such as the project submitted to the Town Hall, real estate development companies and owners, etc.

Our legal department will check the clauses of the contract to protect you as well as the conformity of the documents related to the property and the requirements (equipment lists, inventory list, etc.)
